Welcome to the Sheridan Pest Control website! I’m the owner, Mike Sheridan, and I’ve been in the service industry in one form or another since 2003 (when I was fresh out of college). I’ve also been a resident of Guilderland for those same 17 Years.
Pest Control, the home protection plans, the estimates, and the options involved in each situation can get confusing. So it generally puts clients, new and old, at ease to be able to call, text, or email me, the owner, with any questions or concerns. That’s just 1 unique thing about Sheridan Pest Control. As a consumer, I know just as well as anyone, that there is nothing more frustrating than calling a call center, explaining the situation to an operator in another state, and then having to wait for days to hear from someone locally-just to have to explain it all again. So although I can’t promise not to grow, I can promise to be the point of contact for all my customers.
Honesty is important to me, and I will always be upfront with the customer about potential costs, lead times, various options for treatment, etc. I do want to help you. I mean that. I look forward to meeting new people, and keeping their homes Pest free.
There are a lot of misconceptions in the Pest Control industry related to “do it yourself” products, the efficacy of products bought at home improvement stores, prices for services, and many other things. I take pride in explaining to my customers what might really be going on, and why the products they’ve purchased might not be working.
Some things can be discussed on the phone, but an on site visit is usually the very best option for figuring out the best treatment plan. Estimates are free. And come with thorough explanations.

Particular times of the year lead to particular Pest infestations. Don’t wait until things have gotten out of control to call. Getting things taken care of early is important, and preventative plans are a really good idea. *You would never want to let wood boring insects go. Always call. The damage they might cause could be disastrous to your home, and your wallet.
